Job summary

Reinventcarbon in India seeks a skilled Turner and Setter to join our manufacturing team. You will read drawings, set up conventional lathes, and perform turning, facing, threading, and drilling while maintaining dimensional accuracy and production efficiency.

The ideal candidate has ITI or equivalent, 3–5 years of proven experience, and a strong eye for detail. You will inspect parts with calipers and gauges, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with production and quality control to

Qualifications

• ITI or equivalent certification completed in relevant trades.
• 3–5 years of proven Turner/Setter experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings/blueprints.
• Skilled in machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Adherence to safety practices and guidelines.

Operate conventional lathe machines for graphite components while maintaining dimensional accuracy and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders.
• Set up and operate conventional lathe machines to perform turning, facing, threading, drilling, and other operations.
• Perform machine adjustments and change tooling as required for new jobs or material changes.
• Ensure components meet quality standards and specified tolerances.
• Inspect and measure finished work pieces using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor the machining process and troubleshoot any operational issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all company safety rules and quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and quality control teams to meet production targets.

Qualifications & Skills:

• I.T.I or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• 3-5 years of Proven experience as a Turner and Setter in a manufacturing setup.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge Of machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
• Skilled in using measuring tools and instruments.
