Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking a Senior Transport Planner in Delhi to lead and deliver transport planning projects. You will work on GIS‑driven analyses, multimodal strategies, and public stakeholder consultations, driving integration with master plans and policy alignment.

The role requires a Masters in Transport Planning, 10 years of experience, and proven project leadership across at least two urban transport initiatives. Competitive consulting environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Masters in Transport Planning or equivalent.
• 10 years of experience in transport planning or related field.
• Led at least two transport planning projects in any town/city.

Responsibilities

• Analyse existing transportation networks using GIS tools and recommend improvements based on traffic patterns and growth.
• Develop multimodal transport strategies integrating road, transit, pedestrian, and cycling infrastructure.
• Conduct accessibility and mobility assessments using spatial data.
• Collaborate with GIS teams to visualize transport scenarios and model future demand.
• Prepare technical reports, maps, and presentations for stakeholders and public consultations.
• Ensure alignment of transport planning with national and regional development policies.
• Support integration of transport data into Master Plans.

Missions/Main Duties

• Analyse existing transportation networks using GIS tools and recommend improvements based on traffic patterns, land use, and projected growth.
• Develop multimodal transport strategies that integrate road, public transit, pedestrian, and cycling infrastructure.
• Conduct accessibility and mobility assessments using spatial data and modelling tools.
• Collaborate with GIS teams to visualise transport scenarios and simulate future demand.
• Prepare technical reports, maps, and presentations for stakeholders and public consultations.
• Ensure alignment of transport planning with national and regional development policies.
• Support the integration of transport data into the broader Master Plan framework

Profile/Skills

• Masters in Transport Planning or equivalent
• He/She should 10 years’ experience
• He/She should have handled at least 2 transport planning based projects for any town/city.
