Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Bengaluru, India, invites a Transmission Line Engineer to join our engineering team. You will perform planning, modelling and design using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole and PLS-Tower, and handle foundation designs.

You will contribute to structural analysis of lattice towers and poles, prepare plan and profile drawings, perform sag and tension analysis, and coordinate with clients. Strong communication and willingness to travel internationally are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/ master’s degree in electrical/civil engineering, with 2-6 years of experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Power Transmission experience.
• Proficient in the English language.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards (NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318) is preferred.
• Willing to travel as needed within the continental U.S. to support assignments.

• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule and effectively monitor all work activities.
• Support project team to develop significant engineering solutions
• Participate in regular meeting and corresponding with Clients.

Transmission Line Engineer

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/master’s degree in electrical/civil engineering, with 2-6 years of experience.

• Computer software knowledge in MS-office, Auto-Cad, MicroStation, Analysis software/ tools, Google Earth, Arc-GIS
• Flexibility to work in different roles for different clients both locally and worldwide.
• Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize work.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, AND ACI 318 is preferred.
• This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
