Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end FP&A and finance transitions, including planning, knowledge transfer, stabilization, and handover.
• Develop transition plans, milestones, governance routines, risk logs, and stakeholder communication plans.
• Work with finance stakeholders to map current processes, reporting timelines, planning cycles, controls, and transformation opportunities.
• Manage transition execution across budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis, and business performance reporting.
• Identify and mitigate transition risks related to process readiness, data, reporting, technology, and stakeholder alignment.
• Track progress, report to leadership, raise issues, and ensure timely resolution of dependencies and risks.

Job description

The Transition Manager will lead FP&A transition, ensuring smooth migration, stabilization, and improvement of finance planning and reporting processes. The role requires strong transition management experience, a sound understanding of FP&A processes, and the ability to work closely with finance and business stakeholders to deliver outcomes within agreed timelines, quality standards, and governance expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end FP&A & finance transitions, including planning, knowledge transfer, documentation, stabilization, and operational handover.
• Develop transition plans, milestones, governance routines, risk logs, and stakeholder communication plans.
• Work with finance stakeholders to understand current-state finance processes, reporting timelines, planning cycles, controls, dependencies, and transformation opportunities.
• Manage transition execution across budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis, financial planning, and business performance reporting activities.
• Identify and mitigate transition risks related to process readiness, controls, data, reporting dependencies, technology, and stakeholder alignment.
• Track transition progress, report status to leadership, raise issues, and ensure timely resolution of dependencies and risks.

Qualifications:

• Education: Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA Finance, CA, CMA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent finance qualification will be preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in transition management, finance transformation, FP&A operations, or related roles.
• Hands‑on experience managing FP&A transitions, including knowledge transfer, process documentation, stabilization, and performance tracking.
• Strong understanding of FP&A & finance operations processes.
• Experience in manufacturing industry and/or shared services, GCC, GBS, captive center, or outsourced service delivery environments will be preferred.
