Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a Manager-Transaxle Assembly to lead production planning and execution for target achievement. The role requires 5–8 years in the auto sector, with hands-on CAD, SAP and MS Office usage, and a strong focus on safety and ESG improvements.

You will oversee gear machining, heat treatment, and assembly processes, manage a 15–20 member team, and drive process improvements while adhering to PPAP/APQP and quality tools.

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical, Production or Automobile engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in auto industry.
• Experience in project management and production planning.
• Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule routine production to meet targets.
• Manage capex and revenue budgets.
• Lead a team of 15–20 people.
• Implement capacity and quality improvements with safety/ESG.
• Oversee gear machining processes and equipment (Hobbing, Shaving, Rolling, Laser welding, Turning, Grinding, Tooth honing).
• Oversee heat treatment process and maintain gear accuracies.
• Program and set up critical equipment.
• Adhere to PPAP, APQP, LQOS, 7 QC Tools, MSA, SPC standards.
• Utilize CAD, MS Office, SAP daily.
• Handle material/part movement.

Manager- Transaxle Assembly Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Production planning & scheduling routine production activities for accomplishment of production targets.
• Knowledge / Experience in Project Management – Approval & Control, Activity planning and tracking, Capacity workout, Resource management, Change control & Management Experience of team handling of 15 to 20 people.
• Capex & revenue budget planning & execution.
• Knowledge of new technology being used for capacity & quality Safety & ESG improvement.
• Knowledge of Gear Machining process & Equipment - like Hobbing, Shaving, Rolling, Laser welding, Hard turning, Grinding, Tooth honing & grinding.
• Knowledge on Heat treatment process.
• Knowledge of all critical accuracies need to be maintained at Gear machining.
• Exposure to machine programming & setting of critical equipment./ operation.
• Well versed with various quality standards such as PPAP, APQP, LQOS, 7 QC Tools, MSA & SPC.
• Hands on experience on CAD, MS office, SAP.
• Exposure to Material / part handling.
• Basic knowledge of gear box housing machining . Basic Knowledge on Gear box / Trans axle assembly process.

Experience 5 - 8 years of relevant Work Experience Industry Preferred Automobile Qualifications B E (Mechanical / Production / Automobile)
