Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a Production Planning and Project Management professional with 4-7 years of experience in gear manufacturing and automated machining.

The role requires knowledge of gear machining processes, capacity planning, budgeting, and hands-on exposure to CAD, SAP, and MS Office. You will lead a team of 15–20, drive PPAP/APQP quality standards, and ensure safe, efficient production.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule routine production activities to meet targets.
• Manage capacity, resources and change control in projects.
• Lead a team of 15–20 people.
• Plan capex & revenue budgets and execute.
• Ensure gear machining processes meet critical tolerances and quality standards.
• Work with CAD, SAP, MS Office in daily activities.
• Support PPAP/APQP, LQOS, 7 QC Tools, MSA & SPC.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance and quality teams.

Job description

• Production planning & scheduling routine production activities for accomplishment of production targets.
• Knowledge / Experience in Project Management – Approval & Control, Activity planning and tracking, Capacity workout, Resource management, Change control & Management
• Experience of team handling of 15 to 20 people.
• Capex & revenue budget planning & execution
• Knowledge of new technology being used for capacity & quality Safety & ESG improvement.
• Knowledge of Gear Machining process & Equipment - like Hobbing, Shaving, Rolling, Laser welding, Hard turning, Grinding, Tooth honing & grinding.
• Knowledge on Heat treatment process.
• Knowledge of all critical accuracies need to be maintained at Gear machining.
• Exposure to machine programming & setting of critical equipment./ operation.
• Well versed with various quality standards such as PPAP, APQP, LQOS, 7 QC Tools, MSA & SPC.
• Hands on experience on CAD, MS office, SAP
• Exposure to Material / part handling
• Basic knowledge of gear box housing machining
• Basic Knowledge on Gear box / Trans axle assembly process
• In-depth knowledge in Gear manufacturing processes & Hands on experience on Gear manufacturing,
