Job summary

Indovance is seeking a dynamic Trainer for Structural Engineering projects to design, develop, and deliver training modules covering fundamentals, load calculations, and design methodologies. The role includes mentoring junior engineers, updating training materials, and collaborating with senior teams to address skill gaps.

Proficiency in structural software such as Enercalc, Forte Web, Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and RISA is required, along with knowledge of major codes.

Qualifications

• BE (Civil) with 3–4 years’ structural engineering experience including teaching or mentoring.
• Expert in RCC and structural steel drawings and code-compliant design.
• Strong knowledge of multifamily framing, load calculations, and frame sizing.
• Familiarity with relevant codes: ASCE 7, IBC, ACI 318, AISC 360/341, NDS, etc.
• Detail-oriented with a quality-focused mindset and process orientation.

Responsibilities

• Train and deliver modules on structural engineering fundamentals and design methods.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct regular assessments of learning progress.
• Update curricula to reflect current industry practices and codes.
• Collaborate with senior engineering teams to identify skill gaps.
• Ensure software skills of trainees in Enercalc, Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and more.

• Training Development & Delivery: Design, develop, and deliver training modules covering structural engineering fundamentals, load calculations, and design methodologies.

• Curriculum Updates: Keep training materials aligned with current industry’s best practices, environmental regulations, and local/international building codes
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with senior engineering teams to identify skill gaps and design specialized training to address them
• Software Skill: Must be Familiar with Structural software – Enercalc, Forte web, Revit Structure, AutoCAD, RISA, Tekla, etc
• Codes known - ASCE 7, IBC, ACI 318, AISC 360, AISC 341, AISI S100, NDS, TMS 402/602, ASCE 41, AWC SDPWS.

Desired Candidate

• Education – BE (Civil) 3 -4 years of structural engineering experience (including teaching or mentoring experience.
• Technical Skills: Expert in RCC and Structural Steel Drawings, Wood design, Residential and commercial projects
• Knowledge of Multifamily Framing, Load calculations, Finalize frame sizes, Beam load calculations, Shear wall design, Foundations, laterals. Steel connections
• Sound knowledge of all Structural Codes
• Attention to details, and an attitude to never compromise with quality.
• Process oriented.
