Plansee India High Performance Materials Pvt. Ltd in Mysore invites applications for a Trainee Design Engineer.

You will create detailed engineering drawings and 3D models, and engage in reverse engineering to support innovative product development with a focus on manufacturability and safety. The role requires CAD proficiency, understanding of GD&T, and eagerness to learn new tools across AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid Edge, CATIA V5 and more.

Qualifications

• CAD software knowledge and GD&T basics.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and product development lifecycle.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Trainee Design Engineer

Your Tasks

The role involves creating detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, reverse engineering activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative and cost-effective design solutions while ensuring manufacturability, quality, and safety standards.

CAD & Design Software knowledge with any of these skills - AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge, CATIA V5, SolidWorks (Basic) , Siemens NX (Basic) Engineering drawing interpretation and GD&T basics Mechanical design fundamentals with basic design calculations Manufacturing processes, machining basics and product development lifecycle understanding Systems & Software: (Preferred) Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) SAP (Basic Knowledge Preferred)
