Job summary

Sodexo seeks an Assembly Shop professional to work on tractor assembly and erectors. You will perform engine/transmission replacements, clutch work, and component fitments, guiding tests and field trials.

Responsibilities include new build participation, issue tracking, and documentation. Strong reading of drawings and tool handling are essential for success.

Qualifications

• ITI–Fitter or Diploma in Mechanical is required.
• 56 years of experience field reference for context.
• Candidates must understand assembly and dismantling of tractors.

Responsibilities

• Engine replacement and rework for field tests and homologation trials.
• Transmission replacement and dismantling per variant and test cycles.
• Clutch and differential assembly, PTO and gear tests.
• Vehicle fitment of kits, brakes, axles and loader attachments.
• Actively participate in new build and issue identification.
• Prepare audit and technical documentation.

Position: Assembly Shop

Experience: 56 Years

Qualification: ITI – Fitter or Diploma in Mechanical

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of assembly and dismantling of tractor.
• Relevant Experience with tractor driving license
• Understanding of communication protocols:
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with tractor assembled.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and team collaboration abilities.
• Known to operate modern tools like – Battery /Pneumatic operating nut runner, torque wrenches, dial gauges etc.
• Basic knowledge of tractor electrical/electronic and its related instruments like Multi meter, OBD tools etc.
• Basic knowledge of Computer.
• Understanding and resolving issue if tractor does not start.

Key Responsibilities

Engine

Engine replacement after rework for field test, Engine oil pan replacement (8.5 Liter to 10.5 Liter oil) for CTT test, Fan, Pulley, Shroud replacement for Noise trial, Exhaust muffler, tires replacement for Homologation trial, Clutch assembly replacement for field test.

Transmission

Transmission replacement as per variant. (South, North, 2400,2100)

Gear replacement as per low speed, high speed, Transmission dismantle for inspection after field/lab test, Differential unit assembly, Front and rear axle replace, PTO assembly replacement, fitment trial of prototype parts.

Wet Clutch transmission –

Control valve replacement after test, Clutch pack assembly replacement, Damper replacement. Differential unit assembly, currently making Prototype Wet clutch 5D tractor.

Vehicle –

ROPS kit fitment on tractor , OS platform kit fitment on tractor, Canopy fitment on tractor, Front and Rear tire replacement, 1st, 2nd SCV fitment, Rockshaft fitment and its setting, Brake, clutch and rear /front axle fitment, JD Loader, Bull loader, Dozer, Land leveller fitment on tractor , Front hitch front PTO kit fitment at lab and Customer end, Various types of rear implement fitment on tractor, Auto track (Guidance system) Kit fitment on tractor , Specific track width setting on tractor, Conversion of tractor in BS4

New Build-

Actively participate in new build, issues identification and note down.
