Job summary

Sodexo in Pune seeks an Engineer- TDP technician to work on tractor assembly and dismantling with a focus on tractors/ag equipment. The role requires hands-on capability and understanding of ECU, sensors, ISO BUS, and hydraulic systems.

You will read mechanical drawings, operate modern tooling like torque wrenches and dial gauges, and collaborate with the team to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in tractors, including John Deere components where relevant.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of assembly and dismantling of tractor.
• Relevant Experience with tractor driving and should have relevant driving license.
• ECU, Sensor, ISO BUS, Electro-hydraulic systems understanding.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Hands‑on experience with tractor assembly & dismantling.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for Hydraulic, Mechanical.
• Good communication and team collaboration abilities.
• Known to operate modern tools like Battery /Pneumatic operating nut runner, torque wrenches, dial gauges etc.
• Basic knowledge of tractor electrical/electronic and its related instruments like Multi meter, OBD tools etc.
• Basic knowledge of Computer.
• Dual knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical system of tractor will be added advantage.
• Knowing the John Deere Engine, Transmission, Wet Clutch transmission and other vehicle parts assembly knowledge will be added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Engineer- TDP technician role focused on assembly and dismantling of tractors and ag equipment.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and follow assembly procedures precisely.
• Operate and calibrate tools such as torque wrenches and dial gauges.
• Diagnose hydraulic and mechanical issues, apply corrective actions.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient tractor maintenance and repair.
• Maintain basic electrical/electronic troubleshooting using standard instruments.
