Job summary

Alstom is seeking an experienced Traction System Skill Leader in Bangalore to guide the technical direction of our traction domain. You will define best practices, support problem solving, and mentor engineers across sites.

You will chair design reviews, ensure deliverables meet standards, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with engineers, domain leaders, and management to shape the railway solutions of tomorrow.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• Ten years of experience in the traction domain.
• Strong knowledge of traction systems for railway applications.
• Deep technical expertise in the traction field.
• Ability to train and coach engineers.
• Experience with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and QRQC.
• Strong communication, cooperation, technical leadership, and continuous improvement.
• Fluent English for communication with engineers, management, and customers.
• Creativity and innovation in the technical domain.

Responsibilities

• Define and deploy best practices, guidelines, tools, and templates in the traction domain.
• Ensure the technical quality of deliverables and support problem-solving activities.
• Chair design reviews and approve technical solutions.

Job Summary

Could you be the full-time Traction System Skill Leader in Bangalore were looking for

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in traction systems to a cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in shaping the technical development of our engineering community, ensuring the application of best practices, and driving continuous improvement. Day-to-day, youll work closely with teams across the business (engineers, domain leaders, and skill leaders across multiple sites), chair design reviews, and provide technical support and training to engineers, among other responsibilities.

Youll specifically take care of defining and deploying best practices, guidelines, tools, and templates in the traction domain, but also ensure the technical quality of deliverables and support problem-solving activities.

• Creating and updating knowledge guidelines, tools, and templates
