Job summary

Safran Engineering Services in Bangalore, India, seeks an experienced Sheet Metal Tooling Designer with 5+ years of experience to join the mechanical tooling team.

You will design production drawings for fixtures and tooling, review 2D drawings, and manage tooling specifications while coordinating with outside vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Strong GD&T and CATIA V5 skills are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering (Diploma or BE) is required.
• Minimum 5 years of sheet metal tooling design and fixture development.
• Strong CATIA V5 skills and GD&T knowledge are essential.
• Ability to review 2D drawings, develop tooling specs, and manage PDR/CDR.

Responsibilities

• Design and create production drawings for tooling and fixtures.
• Review 2D drawings and develop tooling specifications.
• Lead PDR/CDR phases and coordinate with vendors for on-time delivery.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and apply GD&T principles.
