Job summary

Radiant Design is seeking an experienced Head - Tool Room to lead our injection mold tool room and mold manufacturing operations in Tamil Nadu. The role requires hands-on expertise in plastic injection mold making, precision machining, CAD/CAM, and mold assembly, with a focus on quality and process discipline.

The ideal candidate will drive 5S, scheduling, production planning, and team development while ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement across tooling activities.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in plastic injection mold manufacturing.
• Strong command of precision machining, CAD/CAM and GD&T techniques.
• Proven ability to lead a tool room and manage schedules, resources and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complete injection mold tool room and mold manufacturing operations.
• Plan and monitor mold manufacturing schedules, machining activities, and delivery timelines.
• Manage tool room manpower, machines, resources, and production priorities.
• Ensure precision, quality, productivity, and timely completion of molds.
• Review technical drawings, 3D models, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Project teams.
• Handle mold trials, troubleshooting, modifications, repairs, and improvements.
• Drive 5S, continuous improvement, process discipline, and quality standards.
• Train, guide, and develop the tool room team.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures.
