Job summary

JobItUs is seeking an experienced Tool Maintenance Head to oversee press tool and stamping die maintenance, ensuring maximum tool availability and minimal breakdowns. The role focuses on productivity improvement, tool life optimization, and safe handling of tools and dies at our Vadodara facility.

You will lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, supervise tooling teams, and drive continuous improvement through 5S and Kaizen methodologies.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of press tool and stamping die maintenance required.
• Experience with progressive dies, blanking, piercing and forming tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand die construction.
• Expertise in tool troubleshooting and breakdown analysis.
• Experience in tool room team management and maintenance planning.
• Familiarity with 5S/Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tool history, breakdown records and MIS.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Tool Maintenance Head to manage press tool and stamping die maintenance operations, ensure maximum tool availability, minimize breakdowns and improve productivity, quality and tool life.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of press tools, stamping dies and related tooling.
• Handle progressive, compound, blanking, piercing and forming dies.
• Troubleshoot die-related problems and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Supervise tool repair, reconditioning, modifications and tool trials.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to minimize rejection and downtime.
• Monitor tool life, maintenance costs, spare parts and tool performance.
• Manage tool room manpower, work allocation and maintenance schedules.
• Implement preventive maintenance plans, root cause analysis, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement.
• Maintain tool history, breakdown records and maintenance MIS.
• Ensure safe handling, storage and maintenance of tools and dies.

Required Skills

Preferred Candidate

Candidates from electrical components, cable lugs, terminals, connectors, sheet metal stamping, precision components or press tool manufacturing industries will be preferred.
