Job summary

Lenovo is seeking a proactive Third-Party Due Diligence Specialist to support and drive strategic initiatives within its global third-party risk management program. The role involves managing complex due diligence matters, collaborating with Ethics & Compliance, Legal, Sales, Procurement, and Finance teams, and ensuring effective risk mitigation across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in due diligence, KYC, and compliance, with strong analytical and project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in law, compliance, business, international affairs, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or minimum 7 years of relevant experience without an advanced degree.
• Demonstrated experience in third-party due diligence, KYC, compliance, risk management, or a related field.
• Experience managing compliance-related projects or initiatives, preferably within a multinational corporate environment.
• Working knowledge of anti-corruption, AML, sanctions, fraud prevention, KYC, and third-party due diligence principles and requirements.
• Experience conducting or overseeing enhanced due diligence and assessing complex third-party risk.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify, assess, document, and elevate compliance risks.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project lead for strategic initiatives and enhancements to Lenovo’s global third-party due diligence and KYC program.
• Coordinate and conduct complex or enhanced due diligence reviews involving higher-risk third parties and transactions.
• Assess third-party risks relating to ABAC, AML, sanctions, fraud, ownership and control, government affiliations, adverse media, reputational concerns, and other integrity risks.
• Review complex ownership structures and identify ultimate beneficial owners, key principals, government connections, and other relevant relationships.
• Lead stakeholder engagement on complex due diligence matters, ensuring appropriate escalation and timely resolution of identified risks.
• Oversee and enhance operational workflows within Lenovo’s due diligence platform, including coordination with external due diligence and screening providers.
• Manage projects relating to process improvements, system enhancements, training initiatives, policy changes, and evolving regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting to identify due diligence activity, trends, emerging risks, and program effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain due diligence procedures, guidance, risk criteria, and other program documentation.
• Support the development and delivery of third-party due diligence and KYC training for relevant business stakeholders.
• Stay current on global developments relating to anti-corruption, AML, sanctions, fraud prevention, KYC, and third-party risk management
• Support internal audits, compliance assessments, investigations, and other reviews involving third-party risk, as needed

Description and Requirements

Lenovo is seeking a proactive and experienced Third-Party Due Diligence Specialist to support and drive strategic initiatives within its global third-party risk management program. The ideal candidate will have experience in third-party due diligence, KYC, compliance operations, and project management, with a strong understanding of anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC), anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, fraud, and other third-party compliance risks.

This role will manage complex due diligence matters, support program enhancements, and collaborate with stakeholders across Ethics & Compliance, Legal, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and other business functions.
