Florida Dress Your Home is seeking a creative Textile Designer to join the Product Development and Design team in Delhi. You will craft innovative textile designs and prints for bedsheets, blankets and comforters, ensuring alignment with market trends and product requirements.

The role emphasizes print designing, textile design and digital artwork, with a strong focus on colours, repeat development and production-ready concepts.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Textile Technology or related field.
• 4–10 years of relevant experience in textile designing, home-textile designing or product development.
• Strong knowledge of bedsheets, blankets, comforters and home furnishings.
• Proficiency in colours, patterns, trends and commercial textile design.
• NIFT / Pearl Academy graduates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create original prints, patterns and textile designs for bedsheets, blankets, comforters and other home-furnishing products.
• Develop digital prints, surface patterns, motifs, coordinates and repeat patterns for various textile applications.
• Create multiple design concepts based on product briefs, seasonal requirements, market trends and target customers.
• Develop colourways and variations while maintaining design consistency and production-ready artwork.
• Coordinate with merchandising and production teams to translate designs into physical products.
• Maintain an organised design library of prints, motifs, patterns, colourways and developed designs.

About the Role

Florida Dress Your Home is looking for a creative and commercially oriented Textile Designer to join the Product Development and Design team. The candidate will be responsible for developing innovative textile designs and prints across bedsheets, blankets, comforters and other home-furnishing products, while ensuring designs are aligned with market trends, customer preferences and the company's product requirements.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in print designing, textile design and digital artwork, along with a good understanding of colours, patterns, repeat development and product applications.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Textile & Print Design Development

• Create original and commercially viable prints, patterns and textile designs for bedsheets, blankets, comforters and other home-furnishing products.
• Develop digital prints, surface patterns, motifs, coordinates and repeat patterns suitable for different textile applications.
• Create multiple design concepts based on product briefs, seasonal requirements, market trends and target customers.
• Develop colourways and variations of approved designs while maintaining design consistency.
• Convert creative concepts into production-ready artwork and print files.

2. Product Development & Trend Research

• Research current home textile, colour, print, pattern and design trends across domestic and international markets.
• Study competitor products and market collections to identify design gaps and new opportunities.
• Work closely with the merchandising and sourcing teams to develop products based on market demand and commercial potential.
• Participate in seasonal and collection-based product development.

3. Digital Designing & Artwork

• Create and edit designs using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Prepare high-quality artwork, repeats, layouts and colour separations as required.
• Modify designs based on product specifications, sampling requirements and production feedback.
• Ensure all design files are properly organised, accurate and production-ready.

4. AI-Assisted Design & Creative Development

• Use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and other AI design/creative tools for design research, concept development, trend exploration, mood boards and creative ideation.
• Explore AI-generated concepts while ensuring the final designs are commercially relevant, original and aligned with the company's brand.
• Use AI tools to improve design research, creative efficiency and development speed.

5. Sampling & Production Coordination

• Coordinate with sampling, merchandising and production teams to ensure designs are correctly translated into physical products.
• Review samples and suggest corrections related to colour, scale, placement, print quality and overall appearance.
• Ensure final designs meet approved specifications before production.
• Resolve design-related issues during sampling and production.

6. Design Library & Documentation

• Maintain an organised library of prints, motifs, patterns, colourways and developed designs.
• Maintain proper records of approved, pending and rejected designs.
• Ensure design files are correctly named, categorised and easily accessible for future product development.
