Job summary

Siemens in Mumbai seeks a Testing Engineer for Medium Voltage Circuit Breakers. You will perform routine testing per IEC/IS standards and customer requirements, troubleshoot issues, and support LEAN improvements. You will ensure readiness for customer inspections and compile inspection reports.

Candidate should hold a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 1–2 years of experience (fresher also considered) and be familiar with Windows Office tools. EHS guidelines apply during testing.

Testing Engineer - Medium Voltage Circuit Breaker

Responsibilities

Test Field Activities

• Performing routine testing of circuit breakpoint as per relevant IEC & IS standard and customer requirement in order to ensure the best quality product.
• Trouble shooting and solving the issues during routine testing of circuit breakpoint.
• Working as per LEAN principle and to suggest improvement to eliminate waste.
• Providing feedback to concerned execution engineer regarding drawing related issues.
• Good knowledge of EHS guideline to be followed during electrical / mechanical testing.

Customer Inspection

• Ensure readiness of the breakers before customer inspections
• Responsible for the export and domestic customer inspections.
• Submission of compliance and incorporation of necessary changes suggested by customer during inspection and ensuring the same in the breaker before dispatch.
• Preparation and submission of inspection reports, MOM, breaker test reports, RTC's to the customer in addition with calibration report, bought out component TC's etc.
• Good business communication skills,
• Knowledge of Windows Office software like word, excel etc.,
• Basic understanding required about EHS guideline to be followed during electrical / mechanical testing.
