Job summary

Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd’s EY Global Delivery Services seeks a Senior Manager to lead end‑to‑end test automation delivery on large‑scale programs. You will plan, direct and optimize automation frameworks across multiple workstreams, using both Agile and traditional methodologies.

You’ll create high‑quality work products, mentor automation engineers and partner with client teams to shape solutions.

Qualifications

• A strong academic record with a degree in business or IT.
• ISTQB Foundation or similar accreditation is preferred.
• Minimum 15 years in a full-time test automation role and 4+ years as automation architect.
• Experience in selecting/building test automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience leading a team of automation engineers.
• Hands-on experience with at least two of: Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Worksoft, Ranorex, UFT.
• Familiarity with code reviews, design patterns and test automation best practices.
• Expert knowledge of CI systems and Agile practices (ATDD, TDD, BDD).
• Excellent communication across audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver test automation frameworks and projects across large-scale transformations.
• Direct and coordinate automation delivery activities and lead multi-workstream teams.
• Contribute to IT project delivery using Agile and Waterfall where required.
• Create high-quality work products and act as SME to shape client solutions.

The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Takes end to end responsibility for the effective planning and delivery of test automation frameworks and automation projects on large scale complex strategic and/or transformative projects in accordance with relevant Test Automation Methodologies.
• Plans, directs, coordinates and reports on test automation delivery activities from automation test strategy and planning by leading, directing and overseeing a team of resources working across multiple workstreams and projects.
• You will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of IT Projects through methodologies such as Agile Scrum/Kanban and traditional Waterfall (when required), leveraging your domain knowledge and sector experience
• Create high-quality work products and act as a subject matter resource on one or more services, leveraging knowledge and experience to shape services to client problems
• Understand all our service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients.
• Maintains focus so that projects deliver on key priorities and dependencies

Skills and attributes for success

• Astrong academic record including a third level degree, preferably in a business or IT related discipline, from a recognised third level institution
• QA accreditation (ISTQB Foundation, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer or a similar IT accreditation from a recognised third level institution or accreditation body)
• Have a minimum of 15 years of experience in full time test automation role and at least 4 years in hands‑on automation architect role
• Expert in the selection and building of test automation frameworks and tools
• Have experience of tool evaluation and selection
• Have prior experience of leading a team of automation engineers
• Have hands‑on experience of at least two of the following
• Selenium Web driver with Java/C#/Python/JS
• Appium
• Worksoft
• Ranorex
• UFT
• Postman, RestAssured
• Have hands‑on experience of the following tools (Automation, Build, CICD)
• Git/Bitbucket/Gitlab/SVN
• Should be familiar with code reviews, design patterns, and implementing best practices in test automation
• Expert knowledge of a CI system to create builds
• Be an expert in Agile development practices including ATDD, TDD & BDD
• Have structured approach to problem solving and be a self‑starter with the ability to work independently managing your own workload with an attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills - tailoring communications to suit a mix of audiences
