Job summary

Alstom in Bengaluru is seeking an Automation and Performance Tester to join our software quality team. You will design and maintain automated test scripts, execute performance tests, identify bottlenecks, and help establish the performance testing process from the ground up.

You'll collaborate with developers, product managers, and UX designers in an Agile environment, contribute to test strategy, and drive automation and performance improvements across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of overall experience in software testing.
• 3+ years of automation testing experience.
• At least 2+ years in Performance Testing with LoadRunner.
• Proficiency in test automation tools such as UFT, LoadRunner and Eggplant.
• Strong programming skills in VBScript, Java, Python.
• Experience with test automation and performance frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, preferably GitLab/Jenkins hands-on.
• Ability to thrive in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

Your future role

You'll contribute to the excellence of our products by ensuring software quality and performance. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with software development teams (developers, product managers, and UX designers), design and maintain automated test scripts, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of creating and executing performance test strategies, identifying bottlenecks through stress and load testing, and establishing the performance test process from the ground up.

• Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in test automation

• Over all 7+years of experience
• Proven experience (3+ years) as an Automation Tester or similar role in software testing
• At least 2+ years of experience in Performance Testing with expertise in LoadRunner.
• Proficiency in test automation tools such as UFT, LoadRunner and Eggplant.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as VBScript, Java, Python.
• Experience with test automation and performance frameworks
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, preferably with GIT LAb/Jenkins hands-on experience
• Ability to thrive in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Excellent communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
