Job summary

SyncSols is seeking a hands-on Test & Automation Engineer to build and commission test benches, data acquisition systems, and automated test rigs for customer projects. You’ll work between hardware and software, specify instruments, wire panels, write LabVIEW applications, and run acceptance tests to prove a system works.

Ideal candidates enjoy working with real equipment, calibrating sensors, and traveling to customer sites for on-site commissioning and training.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in test, measurement, instrumentation or automation engineering.
• Working knowledge of LabVIEW and NI hardware.
• Understanding of sensors and signals: thermocouples, RTDs, pressure, strain, voltage and current.
• Able to read electrical schematics and use a multimeter and oscilloscope with confidence.
• Careful, methodical approach to testing and record-keeping.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire and check out test benches, panels and harnesses against drawings.
• Configure NI hardware (CompactDAQ, CompactRIO, PXI) and third‑party instruments.
• Develop and maintain LabVIEW test applications and reports.
• Calibrate channels and verify measurement accuracy against reference standards.
• Prepare and execute factory and site acceptance test procedures and record results.
• Install and commission systems at customer sites and train operators.
• Diagnose and fix faults on systems in service; keep documentation up to date.

The role sits between hardware and software: you will help specify instruments and signal conditioning, wire and check panels, write LabVIEW test applications, and run the acceptance tests that prove a system works.

It suits an engineer who enjoys being hands‑on with real equipment and wants to grow into designing complete test systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechatronics
• NI CLAD certification is an advantage
