Job summary

Optimized Solutions Limited is seeking an Application Engineer to join our engineering team in Ahmedabad. You will work on Automated Test Equipment (ATE), instrumentation, and test & measurement solutions, translating customer requirements into robust hardware and software implementations.

You will collaborate across electrical, electronics, software, instrumentation, and mechanical teams, configuring instruments and DAQ systems while developing application software in LabVIEW, Python, or C/C++.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electrical/electronic components and circuits.
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, sensors, switches, relays, motors, actuators.
• Basic understanding of test & measurement instruments such as DMM, oscilloscope, power supply, and function generator.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Support design, development, integration, testing, and commissioning of automated test systems.
• Work with engineers across electrical, electronics, software, instrumentation, and mechanical disciplines.
• Configure and integrate test & measurement instruments, sensors, DAQ systems, and hardware.
• Develop and troubleshoot basic application software using LabVIEW, Python, C/C++ or other languages.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software with guidance from senior engineers.
• Conduct system-level testing, validation, and debugging.
• Prepare test procedures, test reports, and customer deliverables.
• Read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and system architectures.
• Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Travel to project/customer sites as required.

We are looking for a motivated Application Engineer to join our engineering team and work on Automated Test Equipment (ATE), instrumentation, test & measurement, automation, and product engineering solutions.

The role involves understanding customer/project requirements, supporting system development and integration, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and system architectures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Good knowledge of Electrical and Electronics fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of electrical/electronic components and circuits.
• Understanding of analog and digital electronics, sensors, switches, relays, motors, and actuators.
• Knowledge of programming concepts such as variables, loops, functions, conditional statements, and data structures.
• Basic understanding of test & measurement instruments such as DMM, oscilloscope, power supply, and function generator.
• Basic awareness of DAQ, instrumentation, automated testing, and ATE concepts.
• Basic understanding of communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, Modbus, CAN, etc.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and VFD is mandatory.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and basic system architectures.
• Strong analytical and logical problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and technical documentation skills.
• Strong learning attitude and willingness to acquire new technical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to travel to project/customer sites is mandatory.

Education

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
