Job Description - Test Development Manager
We are looking for a seasoned Test Development Manager to lead our test development & test engineering initiatives across electronics manufacturing. This role requires deep expertise in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) design, test hardware development, LabVIEW software development, and process documentation release. The successful candidate will drive automation, ensure robust test coverage, and lead a team of engineers to deliver high‑quality solutions from NPI to high‑volume production.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Development & Automation
- Design complex real‑time control ATE test systems combining hardware electronics and software applications for manufacturing test requirements with high quality.
- Develop new tester hardware, debug, and align with new products.
- Partner with customers to understand requirements, select appropriate hardware (GPIB, multiplexers, power supplies, Hi‑power DC/AC sources, PXI, and commercial off‑the‑shelf components), and design/implement software.
- Develop software architecture, systems, and engineering processes for generating requirements, design documents, configuration control, test plans, and user documentation.
- Build test programs for in‑circuit test (Keysight i3070, TERADYNE Test Station), functional testers, end‑of‑line (EOL) testers, flash programmers, flying probe testers, Hi‑pot testers, and custom ATEs.
- Design and fabricate test fixtures and jigs for ICT, FCT, and EOL testers for customer PCB/end‑product testing.
- Develop functional testers and related hardware/software, with expertise in LabVIEW.
- Architect and develop ATE systems, including fixtures, load boards, and interface hardware.
- Design and implement LabVIEW‑based automated test software.
- Drive automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, repeatability, and scalability.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality) to align test strategies with product requirements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers on test readiness, results, and improvement plans.
- Process & Documentation
- Develop, release, and maintain standardized test process documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Support smooth NPI‑to‑HVM transitions with minimal impact on schedules and customers.
- Test Execution & Coverage
- Oversee ICT, FCT, EOL, and module‑level testing.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage to meet product quality and reliability standards.
- Continuously improve test yield, cycle time, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications and Desired Experience Level
