Job summary

Tata Electronics Limited is seeking a senior semiconductor test engineer to drive ATE testing across wafer and final test stages. You will develop test procedures, update LB/probe cards, and optimize test programs for Digital, Mixed-Signal and RF devices.

Must have deep experience with Teradyne, Advantest, and Cohu systems, and strong scripting skills in C/C++, Python and Perl. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge in product development methodology, planning and process.
• Should understand device datasheets and develop detailed test procedures for ATE testing.
• Experience developing test methodologies for ATE environments.
• Ability to develop complete ATE test programs for chip validation and test program conversion.
• Knowledge of ATE hardware (load boards, probe cards) and related PCB tools.
• Experience with Procure or similar test handlers and probes.
• Knowledge of test environments for Digital, Mixed-Signal, RF devices and verification against bench results.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for product testing at wafer and package level across device types.
• Offload test from customers and run production test.
• Update test programs, LB, and probe cards based on ECN changes.
• Expertise with OSAT process for product test.
• Coordinate yield optimization with customers and fab.
• Lead single-site to multi-site test conversions.
• Develop additional test hardware as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret datasheets and craft test plans.
• Work with Teradyne, Advantest, and Cohu platforms for diverse devices.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for Product testing at Wafer and Package level for different type of devices.

Off load the test from the customer and run production test.

Strong in Updating the test program/LB/Probe card based on the ECN changes.

Expert with OSAT process for Product test.

Yield optimization, lot Deposition with Customer and Fab.

Single site to Multisite conversions.

Build a dditional test HW.

Sound knowledge on Digital, Mixed signal, RF test methodologies. Experience in developing the test programs in ATE environment for Digital, mixed signal, RF devices.

Device debug for Digital, Mixed Signal, RF devices using ATE tools and verify with bench Test results.

Responsible for working with different teams for understanding the device datasheet and come up with a detailed Test procedure/plan to test the chip in ATE environment.

Strong working experience in Teradyne test systems like ETS(364/88/800), UltraFlex, J750, Magnum , Advantest V93K systems or any other ATE Tester .

Knowledge on ATE hardware design (load board & probe card), PCB design tools and Signal Integrity analysis.

Knowledge on Device Characterization, testing at different temperatures.

Knowledge on data extraction tool like Perl, Python will be added advantage.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge in Product development methodology, planning and process.

Should be able to understand the device datasheet and come up with a detailed Test procedure/plan to test the chip in ATE environment.

Should involve in developing the test methodologies as required.

Should be able to develop the complete ATE test program to validate the chip and for any test program conversion.

Good Knowledge working on Handler ( Hon Precision, Delta Matrix ), prob ers( TEL , Accretech ).

Good Knowledge on ATE working on all the tester platforms ( Teradyne , Advantest , Cohu ) , C/C++, VB , Python, Perl.

Ability in Customer communication and interaction & provide status update through e-mails and conference calls.

Able to initiate and execute projects independently and should be a team player.

Education Qualification:

Degree in Engineering ( ECE/EEE) .

Required Experience:

Candidate should have minimum 10 years’ experience in semi-conductor testing in ATE.

Work experience in OSAT or IDM on the wafer test and Final test products.
