Job summary

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is building India's first AI-enabled semiconductor foundry. We are looking for a test engineer to develop and automate PCBA test environments, implement ICT/FCT/EOL testing, and create fixtures and SOPs to ensure high yields and robust production testing.

Role requires hands-on work with ICT/FCT/EOL testers, ATEs, and robotics; expertise in LabVIEW and programming for test systems; and collaboration with vendors and cross-functional teams to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in PCB assembly, testing, methodologies, standards.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and setup test environment, test plans, cases & processes for PCBA products.
• Automate test setup for PCBA offload and lab automation.
• Hands-on with ICT, FCT, EOL testers, Flash programmers and ATEs.
• Develop test fixtures and jigs for ICT, FCT and EOL testing.
• Automate production line SMT test with robotics handling PCBs.
• Develop programs for new products and ECO/ECN changes in test systems.
• Develop PCBA functional testers with hardware/software using LabVIEW.
• Fix tester hardware, software and calibration issues.
• Coordinate with vendors for fixtures/tools for test setup.
• Participate in PFMEAs and New Product Introduction.
• Monitor test failures and drive corrective actions to improve yields.
• Develop Testing SOPs and process documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and setup test environment, test plans, cases & processes for various PCBA products, ensure all test requirements are successfully implemented and executed.

• Responsible for Product offload from the customer and its PCBA Test setup with complete Automation.

• Handson experience working on In-circuit tester, Functional testers, End of Line(EOL) tester, Flash programmer&Hi-pot Testersand Custom ATE's.

• Extensive Experience in developing test fixtures and Jigs for ICT, FCT and EOL testing.

• Automated Production line setup of the SMT testinglineswith robots for handling the PCB's andmodules.

• Responsible for the program development of all new product & changes in program according to ECO & ECNin In-circuit testerslikeKeysighti3070, TERADYNETestStation, PCBfunctional Testers, Flying probeTesters, EOL Testers.

• Expertisein developingPCBAFunctional testers and its Hardware& softwareandexpertisein LabView.

• Responsible for thefixing all the Testershardware,softwareissuesand calibrationissues.

• Coordinate with vendor and procurement team onprocuringnecessary Fixtures/tools for test setup.

• Activelyparticipatein associated new project's PFMEAs and New Product Introduction.

• Handling of sophisticated instruments used for Testing through GPIB,Multiplexer cards,Power supplies,Hi-power DC/AC Sources, Monitor test failure trends in production and provide corrective actions to improve production test yields, cycle time improvements.

• Develop TestingSOP and processdocumentations.

Essential Attributes:

• Skilled inC ,Labview, C#.net,Matlab, develop test scripts.

• Must have excellent problem-solving skills andpossessgood analytical,verbaland written communication skills.

• Practical knowledge and ability to apply test engineering principles, techniques, theories, concepts, industry practices, regulations, andpolicies.

• Electrical Engineering working knowledge of electronic equipment/Instruments, pneumatic and mechanical test equipment,specifications, Test measuring instruments, Test protocols & test procedures.

• Mustdemonstrateflexibility, self-direction, and self-discipline to plan andaccomplishobjectivesand meet deadlines with limitedsupervision.

• Interface with customers and internal cross-functional teams to solve all testing-related issues.

• Exhibits a "Can-Do" attitude and activelyseeksfor solutions to problems.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Desired Experience Level:

• 5- 8 year's minimum experience in printed circuit board assembly processes, Testing,methodologies, standards, and best practices.
