Cognizant is seeking a Test Manager to plan, coordinate and optimize testing activities for enterprise solutions on Mainframes, SAP MDM NW GDS, and IBM TPF. Qualifications

• Strong experience in testing complex solutions built on Mainframes platforms including batch processing, online transactions, and data-intensive workflows.
• Hands-on exposure to SAP MDM, NW, GDS testing including data quality validation, master data governance rules, and integration with upstream/downstream systems.
• Practical knowledge of IBM TPF environments for validating critical transaction flows, stability, and reliability in high-volume processing systems.
• Familiarity with travel intermediaries domain processes such as reservations, inventory management, pricing and partner integrations to design realistic tests.
• Eight to twelve years of total testing experience in roles with ability to plan, estimate, prioritize, and schedule.
• Clear communication with cross-functional teams via reports and risk summaries for stakeholders.
• Experience with test management tools, defect tracking systems, and hybrid work governance.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a comprehensive test strategy for systems built on Mainframes, SAP MDM, NW, GDS, and IBM TPF to ensure quality across releases.
• Plan detailed test phases including functional, regression, integration, and system tests for reliable deployments.
• Coordinate test planning and execution across distributed teams in a hybrid work environment.
• Review requirements to design effective test scenarios validating end-to-end workflows.
• Develop detailed test cases and reusable data sets covering core functions and integration points.
• Oversee defect lifecycle from identification to closure to minimize production incidents.
• Collaborate with development, support, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to prioritize defects.
• Monitor test progress and quality metrics to provide status updates and data-driven decisions.
• Optimize test processes, promote reuse of assets, and align with enterprise standards and tools.
• Coordinate user acceptance activities and support business testers to validate outcomes.
• Guide automation and performance testers with clear scenarios and expected outcomes.
• Ensure detailed test artefacts documentation for audits and knowledge sharing.
• Align test activities with day shift schedules and hybrid working models.

• Coordinate user acceptance activities by preparing environments clarifying scenarios and supporting business testers to validate that solutions meet expected outcomes
• Guide automation specialists and performance testers by providing clear scenarios priorities and expected outcomes that align with overall test objectives

Qualifications

• Possess strong experience in testing complex solutions built on Mainframes platforms including batch processing online transactions and data intensive workflows
• Demonstrate hands on exposure to SAP MDM NW GDS testing including data quality validation master data governance rules and integration with upstream and downstream systems
• Apply practical knowledge of IBM TPF environments when validating critical transaction flows stability and reliability for high volume processing systems
• Bring working familiarity with travel intermediaries domain processes such as reservations inventory management pricing and partner integrations to design realistic tests
• Use proven skills in test planning estimation risk based prioritization and scheduling for projects requiring eight to twelve years of overall experience in testing roles
