Job summary

Worldline in Mumbai seeks a Lead Test Engineer to drive end-to-end testing across card issuing, acquiring and digital payment platforms, ensuring quality across the SDLC.

You will mentor the team, own API and automation testing, work with Postman and SQL validation, and collaborate on certifications with VISA, Mastercard and RuPay.

This role demands 5–8 years in payments/fintech, strong microservices and CI/CD skills, and a passion for quality and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of QA experience in payments/fintech domains.
• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech degree required.
• Strong knowledge of Payment Card Industry, card issuance and acquiring.
• Hands-on API, microservices, Web/Mobile testing and SQL validation.

Responsibilities

The opportunity

We are looking for a Lead Test Engineer with extensive experience in the Payment Card Industry to drive end-to-end testing and quality assurance initiatives across card issuing, acquiring, and digital payment platforms.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Lead functional, automation, integration, API, web, mobile, and microservices testing activities.
• Perform API testing usingPostman and backend validation using SQL.
• Ensure quality delivery across the SDLC and drive defect management and resolution.
• Participate in payment scheme certifications and compliance testing.
• Mentor team members and promote QA best practices.

Who are we looking for

Experience: 5–8 Years
Qualification: BE / B.Tech / M.Tech
Domain: Payments / Banking / Fintech

• Strong knowledge of the Payment Card Industry, including card issuance and acquiring.
• Expertise in Microservices, Web Application, Mobile Application, and API Testing.
• Strong SQL and database validation skills.
• Experience with VISA, Mastercard, and RuPay ecosystems.
• Working knowledge of BOSS/NIV simulators for Credit, Debit, Prepaid Card, and ETC Issuance/Acquiring.
• Hands-on participation in VISA, Mastercard, and RuPay online/offline certifications and scheme mandates.

Preferred Skills

• BDD, Cucumber, TestNG, Maven, and Automation Framework Development.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and leadership skills.
