Job summary

Worldline in Pune invites an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for web applications using Selenium with Java, while leading the strategic adoption of UiPath for broader process automation.

You will architect scalable test frameworks with Maven and the Page Object Model, integrate tools into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with developers and product teams to spot automation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in test automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Experience building frameworks from scratch with Maven and the Page Object Model.
• Practical experience or strong willingness to lead UiPath automation.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD concepts, and release processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium (Java) and Maven, following the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
• Lead the technical evaluation and introduction of UiPath within the organization to automate repetitive business processes.
• Write clean, maintainable code to support automated functional testing and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
• Optimize existing scripts and frameworks to reduce technical debt and increase speed and reliability.
• Manage integration of automation tools into CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment cycles.
• Collaborate with development teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities.
• Define and enforce coding standards and best practices for automation across the engineering department.
• Maintain documentation for automated test suites, RPA workflows, and procedures.

We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions to ensure the highest quality of our software products. Your primary focus will be on web automation using Selenium with Java, while simultaneously driving the strategic adoption and implementation of UiPath for broader process automation.

Day-to-day responsibilities

Test Automation & Technical Development

• Design and Maintenance: Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium (Java) and Maven, following the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
• Process Automation: Lead the technical evaluation and introduction of UiPath within our organization to automate repetitive business processes.
• Script Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to support both automated functional testing and robotic process automation (RPA).
• Continuous Improvement: Optimize existing scripts and frameworks to reduce technical debt and increase execution speed and reliability.
• Tool Integration: Manage the integration of automation tools into our existing CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment cycles.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify high-value automation opportunities.
• Best Practices: Define and enforce coding standards and best practices for automation across the engineering department.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for automated test suites, RPA workflows, and technical procedures.

Who are we looking for

Qualifications & Requirements

• Technical Proficiency: Solid experience in test automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Framework Knowledge: Proven track record in building frameworks from scratch using Maven and the Page Object Model (POM).
• RPA Experience: Practical experience or strong willingness to lead the implementation of UiPath.
• General Skills: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), build tools, and CI/CD concepts.
• Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to automation strategy.

Language: Fluent in English (German language skills are a plus).
