Job summary

Vodafone VOIS is seeking an experienced Telecom Billing tester to lead functional testing across billing, rating, invoicing and payments in a large-scale enterprise setting. You will manage defects, coordinate with clients and senior stakeholders, and contribute to release readiness.

Qualifications

• Proven telecom billing domain testing with 8+ years of hands-on experience.
• Experience reporting to clients and senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of billing concepts, invoice validation, discounts and payments.
• Knowledge of Oracle BRM or alternatives such as Amdocs/Huawei.
• Unix experience and PL/SQL for validation and analysis.

• Execute detailed test plans, cases, scripts and strategies for Telecom Billing apps.
• Perform functional testing across billing, rating, invoicing, discounts, collections and payments.
• Identify, log, track and manage defects; participate in defect triage with teams.
• Validate product fixes and conduct regression testing for stability.
• Produce and maintain high-quality testing deliverables and defect reports.
• Support analysis, design and testing of new functionality and system enhancements.
• Participate in release control to meet requirements.
• Escalate risks and quality concerns to management and stakeholders.
• Ensure testing aligns with quality, schedule and governance.

What you’ll do

• Execute detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test strategies for Telecom Billing applications.
• Perform functional testing across billing, rating, invoicing, discounting, collections, payments, and related product catalogue processes.
• Execute test scenarios and report progress through agreed testing tools and trackers.Identify, log, track, and manage defects using established testing methodologies and quality processes.Participate in defect triage activities and collaborate with application teams to drive issue resolution.
• Validate product fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure solution stability.
• Produce and maintain high-quality testing deliverables, results, and defect reports.Support analysis, design, and testing activities for new functionality and system enhancements.
• Participate in release control processes to ensure solutions meet business and operational requirements.
• Escalate risks, issues, and quality concerns to test management and senior stakeholders when required.
• Ensure testing activities are delivered in line with agreed quality, schedule, and governance requirements.

Who you are

• Proven experience with Telecom Billing domain testing, including a minimum of 8 years of hands-on testing experience.
• Reporting to client - senior mangement and other senior stakeholders
• Strong understanding of billing and rating concepts within a telecommunications environment.Knowledge of invoice validation, discounting, collections, and payment processes.
• General understanding of product catalogue concepts.Experience with Oracle BRM (preferred) or alternative Telecom Billing platforms such as Amdocs or Huawei.Hands-on experience with Unix environments.Working knowledge of PL/SQL for validation and analysis activities.
• Strong functional testing expertise across large-scale enterprise systems.Experience in defect management, defect tracking, and quality processes.
• Proficiency with test management along with test matrixs, defect tracking tools such as Quality Center (QC) or similar platforms.Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams in a dynamic delivery environment.
