Job summary

Vodafone VOIS is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to strengthen our Delphi-based applications by expanding automated test coverage and maintaining the existing framework. You will work with QA, development and business teams to deliver reliable, scalable test solutions.

The role requires knowledge of ReadyAPI, UFT, VBScript, Groovy, SQL, and version control tools like Git. You will contribute to continuous improvement, ensure regression testing is integrated into processes, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Experience in test automation and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with ReadyAPI (SoapUI Pro).
• Good understanding of SQL.
• Experience managing automated regression test suites and integrating them into business processes.
• Experience using version control tools such as Git.
• Basic understanding of software development processes.
• Ability to work in a structured and analytical manner.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Experience with test management tools such as ALM, Jira, or Xray.
• Experience with UFT (Unified Functional Testing).
• Basic knowledge of VBScript.
• Experience in Groovy scripting.
• German language skills would be advantageous.

• Maintain and enhance the existing test automation framework using VBScript (UFT) and Groovy (ReadyAPI).
• Create new automated test cases for GUI and service components based on design documentation.
• Execute automated test cases and analyse test results.
• Document test outcomes and communicate findings effectively to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain and optimise the existing automated test suite.
• Support automated regression testing activities and their integration into business processes.
• Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Development, and business teams to achieve strong test coverage.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within testing and development lifecycle.
• Work with version control systems such as Git to support test asset management and collaboration.

About this Role

We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer with experience in test automation frameworks, ReadyAPI (SoapUI Pro), SQL, and automated regression testing to support and enhance a Delphi-based application landscape. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Quality Assurance, Development, and business teams to improve software quality through the maintenance, development, and execution of automated test solutions. The successful candidate will contribute to expanding test coverage, maintaining existing test assets, and ensuring reliable automated testing within business-critical processes.
