Job summary

Coforge in Hyderabad, India is seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in UFT and Selenium with Java. You will design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery across applications.

You will implement automated tests, integrate with CI/CD (Jenkins, Azure DevOps), collaborate with development and DevOps teams, mentor junior engineers, and help define testing best practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in test automation.
• Extensive UFT (QTP) experience including: VBScript, Object Repository, Descriptive Programming, BPT.
• Good working knowledge of Selenium WebDriver using Java.
• Experience with TestNG / JUnit frameworks.
• Strong understanding of automation framework design (Data-driven, Hybrid frameworks).
• Experience in testing web-based applications.
• Working knowledge of SQL for backend validation.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git/SVN.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using UFT for functional, regression, and smoke testing.
• Develop and execute automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java as part of hybrid automation strategies.
• Analyze functional requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and automation scripts.
• Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Perform test execution, defect logging, tracking, and closure using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with development, business analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end test coverage.
• Maintain automation frameworks, libraries, and reusable components.
• Provide automation estimates, status reports, and contribute to testing best practices.
• Mentor junior automation engineers and support team knowledge building.
