Job summary

Sandoz is seeking a Test Expert to strengthen quality, performance, and regulatory compliance across SAP and non-SAP systems. You will coordinate testing activities, guide validation efforts, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and delivery methodologies.

The role involves collaboration with global teams, risk assessment of defects, and contributing to test automation. You should have strong experience in regulated life sciences environments and expertise in ALM tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
• Certifications in software testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on Test Management guidance across full testing lifecycle.

Job Description Summary

The Test Expert role is part of a function that ensures the quality, performance, and compliance of enterprise applications and platforms across both SAP and non-SAP systems.
This role is ensuring high quality of test artefacts and proper execution of system validation activities by collaborating with the different Subject matter experts from Business and Technology and providing coordination, guidance and support. Further on, the Test Expert coordinates test activities for certain areas or phases of the program, which may include but is not limited to functional, regression, performance, user acceptance testing and future automation of these validation activities. The position ensures that testing practices align with regulatory requirements, enterprise architecture, and delivery methodologies and further applicable standards.

We are seeking candidates living or local to Hyderabad or willing to relocate on a permanent basis.

Job Description

Major accountabilities:

• Provide hands-on Test Management guidance, training and support for the full testing lifecycle from scoping to execution and reporting.




• Manage the defects arising during test activities, ensuring that defects are recorded, prioritized and resolved effectively.




• Perform risk assessments on defects.




• Efficiently use testing tools including Test script and Test set creation, test execution, Defect management, Release and cycle maintenance, Traceability and reporting, Test set management and actively support improvement initiatives.




• Contribute to test automation to increase speed, efficiency, and repeatability in delivery.




• Collaborate with Business and Technology stakeholders, Factory and Platform teams to ensure early involvement and end-to-end quality assurance.




• Collaborate and communicate across globally distributed teams of internal and external experts and partners.




• Support the definition and monitoring of testing KPIs to assess quality, efficiency, and compliance of testing outcomes.




• Ensure adherence to global compliance standards, including GxP, data privacy, and cybersecurity policies..

Minimum Requirements:

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; certifications in software testing preferred.

Languages

• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Experience and Skills

• 7+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test engineering, with at least 5 years in large scale projects/programs.


• Strong experience managing testing across SAP and non-SAP systems in enterprise environments.


• Experience in testing particularly with SAP S/4 HANA.


• Proven background in test management activities


• Experience in regulated life sciences, pharmaceuticals or medical devices sectors.


• Deep understanding of testing frameworks, test management tools, especially Opentext ALM and automated testing.


• Demonstrated knowledge of regulated environments (GxP, CSV) and validation best practices.


• Hands-on experience with test planning, execution, and defect lifecycle management across various delivery models.


• Experience working in global matrix organizations and cross-functional teams.


• Experience managing multi-vendor environments, with strong supplier management and negotiation skills.


• Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.


• Ability to translate technical topics into business language and vice versa.


• Experience with Waterfall / Agile and/or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
