Job summary

Marquardt is seeking a hands-on Test Equipment Engineer to join our team in Pune, India. You will act as an extended team member in New Product Development and lifecycle projects, developing test equipment concepts from product specs, requirements, and quality inputs.

You will define test strategies, plan EOLT, FKT/Functional testing, and coordinate procurement of test equipment, ensuring traceability and safety/compliance. Collaboration with development, quality, and production is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in NPD and lifecycle projects.
• Strong knowledge of ATS, EOLT and functional testing.
• Familiarity with automotive standards and CAN/LIN protocols.

Responsibilities

• Act as an extended team member in NPD & Lifecycle projects.
• Develop test equipment concepts from product specs and quality inputs.
• Define test strategies and acceptance criteria aligned with DFMEA/PFMEA.
• Plan and support EOLT and functional test systems installation and ramp-up.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Act as a extended team member in New Product Development & Lifecycle Project
• Develop test equipment concepts based on product specifications, test requirements, and quality inputs.
• Develop test concepts, equipment specifications, and product/software requirements in collaboration with development, quality, and production team
• Define test strategies, coverage, and acceptance criteria aligned with DFMEA/PFMEA.
• Plan and support implementation of End-of-Line Testing (EOLT) & Functional test systems (FKT, Flashing)
• Prepare technical specifications and coordinate procurement of test equipment and its lifecycle:

Design review, FAT/SAT, Commissioning & ramp-up

• Drive cycle time optimization, and process efficiency.
• Ensure traceability, MES integration, and compliance with safety/ESD standards.
• Support operator, process engineer training and smooth handover to production.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of:
  • Automatic Test Systems (ATS), EOLT, Functional Testing

• Hands-on/working knowledge of:
