Job summary

Rhythm Innovations is seeking a Test Engineer - QA & Automation with 3 to 5 years of testing experience. You will design and execute test scenarios, automate web and API tests, and leverage AI-assisted tools to generate and refine automation code.

You will work closely with Product and Engineering, contribute to CI/CD automation, and ensure high quality across SDLC. Proficiency in Playwright/Selenium, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST API testing, and SQL will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of software testing experience with strong functional and regression testing skills.
• Hands-on automation testing experience using Playwright or Selenium.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and automation code review.
• Practical use of AI tools for coding and test automation.
• Experience with API testing and SQL basics.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and defect lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Design and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Develop and maintain web automation using Playwright / Selenium.
• Use AI coding assistants to generate, enhance, debug, and maintain automation code.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness and coverage.
• Conduct API testing using Postman / REST and validate data with SQL.
• Log, track, retest, and manage defects in Azure DevOps / Jira.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering throughout the SDLC.
• Support CI/CD-based automation execution and reporting.

Job Description

We are looking for a Test Engineer - QA & Automation with 3 to 5 years experience. The candidate should have strong functional, automation, and AI-assisted testing experience. The candidate should independently understand requirements, design test scenarios, execute testing, identify defects, and use AI tools effectively to generate, review, debug, and improve automation code.

Requirements

• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.

• Use AI coding assistants / AI agents to generate, enhance, debug, and maintain automation code.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of software testing experience with strong functional and regression testing skills.

• Good knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript and ability to write, understand, review, and debug automation code.
• Practical experience using AI tools for coding and test automation, including test-case generation, code creation, debugging, refactoring, and analysis.
• Experience with REST API testing and basic to intermediate SQL knowledge.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and defect lifecycle.
• Good analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills

Good to Have

• Experience with WebdriverIO / Appium for mobile automation.
• Exposure to AWS, Git, and CI/CD.
• Experience with Salesforce or enterprise applications.
• Basic understanding of performance and security testing
