Job summary

Nokia in India is seeking a proactive RF testing engineer to advance 4G/5G RF testing in a dynamic team. You’ll collaborate with local and global experts to improve testing efficiency and reliability, while tackling calibration and troubleshooting tasks.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior engineers, leadership development, and opportunities to participate in NPI and mass production tester installations with flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Electronics or Telecommunications.
• 3+ years in manufacturing/electronics industry.
• Experience supporting global tester installations and breakdown issues.
• Familiarity with Test & Measuring equipment.
• Troubleshooting RF testers, RF filters and TRX PCBA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize tester productivity, yield and false calls to KPI targets.
• Maintain and support RF testers and related instruments for 4G/5G.
• Manage tester changeovers, IC programming and unit test adjustments per requirements.
• Contribute to spare parts management and reduce downtime.
• Participate in NPI and mass production tester installations per test plans.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate RF testers to improve uptime.
• Mentor shift engineers and drive continuous improvement with teams.
• Prepare and present tester performance and improvement reports.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Monitor and optimize tester productivity, yield, and false call rates to meet defined KPIs.
• Provide maintenance and support for RF testers and related instruments focusing on 4G/5G technology.
• Manage tester changeovers, including IC programming and unit test adjustments to align with customer requirements.
• Contribute to spare parts management and address critical shortages to reduce equipment downtime.
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and mass production tester installations, ensuring compliance with test plans.
• Engage in troubleshooting and calibration of RF testers, enhancing performance and uptime.
• Mentor and guide shift engineers while collaborating with local and global teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and present summary reports on tester performance and improvement projects.

Key Skills And Experience

Must-Have

• Bachelor’s/Diploma degree in Electronics/Telecommunications
• 3 plus years of experience in the manufacturing & Electronics industry
• Hands-on experience supporting global teams for tester installation and breakdown issues
• Familiarity with handling Test & Measuring equipment
• Expertise in troubleshooting tester issues, particularly RF filters and TRX PCBA

Nice-To-Have

• Familiarity with managing test instrument calibration cycles
• Experience in preparing executive summary and MIS reports
• Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Leadership and team development capabilities
