Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end functional testing of Android and iOS applications.
• Execute regression, smoke, sanity, usability, and exploratory testing.
• Validate application behavior across devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Design, execute, and maintain API test cases.
• Verify integrations between frontend applications and backend services.
• Write SQL queries to validate data and business workflows.
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps throughout the SDLC.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and execution reports.

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Test Engineer who will take ownership of quality across our mobile applications and backend services.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our Android and iOS applications, APIs, and backend systems meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will work closely with developers, and DevOps engineers to identify issues early and help deliver exceptional user experiences.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys breaking software, finding edge cases, and ensuring products are production-ready before they reach customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end functional testing of Android and iOS applications.
• Execute regression, smoke, sanity, usability, and exploratory testing.
• Validate application behavior across different devices, operating systems, and screen sizes.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.

API Testing & Validation

• Design, execute, and maintain API test cases.
• Validate request/response payloads, business logic, and error handling.
• Perform API testing using Postman and automate collections using Newman.
• Verify integrations between frontend applications and backend services.

Database Testing

• Write SQL queries to validate application data and business workflows.
• Verify data integrity, consistency, and correctness across systems.
• Perform backend validation to ensure APIs and services update data accurately.

Collaboration & Quality Ownership

• Work closely with developers and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in requirement reviews and identify test scenarios early in the development process.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
• Drive quality improvements and advocate for best testing practices.

Required Skills & Experience

CI/CD: GitHub Actions (test pipeline integration), Git, GitHub

AI Tools: GitHub Copilot, Claude AI, ChatGPT, Glean — AI-assisted test generation, review, agentic workflow validation

API Testing: Postman (REST API testing)

Performance: Apache JMeter (GET, POST, PATCH load testing; throughput and latency analysis)

Databases: SQL

Platforms: iOS and Android

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification.
• Experience working in startup or fast-paced product environments.
