Job summary

Mizuho Global Services (MGS), Pune, seeks a Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for regulatory and compliance platforms. You will build UI and API tests, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile setting.

Ideal candidates have 3–8 years in test automation, strong Playwright and SQL skills, plus experience with CI/CD tools and API testing.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in Test Automation.
• Proficient with Playwright and automation frameworks.
• Strong SQL and API testing skills (REST/JSON).
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices (Azure DevOps/Jenkins).
• Familiarity with BDD (Cucumber) preferred.
• Deep domain knowledge in Investment Banking, KYC, AML is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA or related certifications are a plus.

About the Team:

Regulatory & Compliance Technology function is part of Corporate Services Technology group and focused on delivering strategic platforms and solutions across Regulatory Reporting and Compliance domain, including U.S. Regulatory Reporting, KYC, AML, Sanctions, Transactions Screening etc.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in modern automation frameworks and investment banking domain knowledge to drive quality engineering across Regulatory and Compliance platforms. The role requires building scalable automation solutions and be accountable for high-quality & robust deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks

Build UI and API automation suites using:

• Selenium (Java / Python based frameworks)

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / Jenkins / GitHub Actions)

Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners in agile squads

Ensure test coverage across:

• Functional & Non-Functional Requirements
• Regression & Retesting
• Integration & System Testing
• End-to-end workflows

Work on test data management and environment setup

Drive shift-left testing and quality engineering best practices

Participate in UAT support and defect triage

Stakeholder & Change Management

• Engage with global stakeholders across Technology, Business, Compliance, and Operations
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams
• Drive change adoption and ensure business readiness for new implementations

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3-8 years of experience in Test Automation - Quality Assurance
• Playwright
• Database, SQL Scripts
• Experience in API Testing (REST, JSON, Postman, REST Assured)
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber) (preferred)
• Experience in CI/CD integration and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of:
• Code versioning tools (Git)
• Deep domain knowledge in:
• Investment Banking
• KYC / Client Onboarding
• AML & Sanctions Compliance
• Hands-on experience in Agile / Scrum delivery models
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant certifications preferred
