Job summary

Mizuho is seeking an Integration Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise-grade integrations across Global KYC, CLM, DMS, MDM, and regulatory applications. The role emphasizes API-led integration, event-driven architecture, secure file exchange, and cloud-native messaging with Azure services.

The engineer will implement RESTful APIs using Azure API Management, ensure robust security, and build scalable integration frameworks for data exchange across internal apps, vendors, and partners.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in REST APIs and API gateway patterns.
• Experience with integration design patterns across multiple platforms.
• Hands-on with messaging systems like Kafka and Service Bus.
• Knowledge of API security (OAuth2, JWT) and identity integration.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java for integration logic.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support enterprise-grade integrations across KYC, CLM, DMS, MDM, SSO, and regulatory apps.
• Develop RESTful APIs and manage API policies using APIM.
• Implement event-driven integrations with Kafka and Service Bus topics/subscriptions.

Regulatory & Compliance Technology function is part of Corporate Services Technology group and focused on delivering strategic platforms and solutions across Regulatory Reporting and Compliance domain, including U.S. Regulatory Reporting, KYC, AML, Sanctions, Transactions Screening etc.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Integration Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise-grade integrations across Global KYC, Client Lifecycle Management, Screening, Master Data Management (MDM), Document Management Systems (DMS), SSO platforms, and downstream Regulatory & Compliance applications.

The role will focus on API-led integration, event-driven architecture, secure file exchange, cloud-native messaging patterns, and real-time data movement leveraging Azure Integration Services. The engineer will be responsible for building resilient, scalable, and secure integrations that enable seamless data exchange across internal applications, vendors, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

API & Integration Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).
• Define and implement API Management policies including:
• Caching
• Request/Response Transformations
• Routing
• Throttling
• Create and maintain OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Develop reusable integration frameworks and regional adapter services.
• Build scalable event-driven integrations using:
• Kafka
• Service Bus Topics & Subscriptions
• Design publish-subscribe, fan-out, request-reply, and asynchronous processing patterns.
• Implement event replay, dead-letter queue (DLQ), retry, and recovery mechanisms.

Application Integrations

• Build and maintain integrations across:
• Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Document Management Systems (DMS)
• Master Data Management (MDM)
• AML / Sanctions Screening Platforms
• KYC & Client Lifecycle Management Platforms
• Regulatory Reporting Systems

Security Engineering

• Secure APIs using JWT tokens.
• Design integrations using Azure Managed Identity.
• Integrate with Entra ID (Azure AD) and enterprise IAM platforms.
• Implement encryption, secrets management, and secure connectivity patterns.
• Develop secure file-based integrations using:
• SFTP
• Managed File Transfer (MFT)
• Handle ingestion and distribution of:
• JSON
• XML
• CSV
• Build automated validation and reconciliation processes.

Reliability & Operational Excellence

• Implement idempotent integration patterns.
• Design robust retry and recovery frameworks.
• Support message replay capabilities.
• Build monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and integration failures.
• Maintain operational documentation and runbooks.

Quality Engineering:
