Job summary

Capco in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join our QA team. You will own end-to-end automation for web and backend services using TypeScript/Java and modern frameworks like Playwright or Selenium.

You'll work in Agile projects, create robust test designs, and contribute to CI pipelines, with strong emphasis on quality, code readability, and scalable automation across client-server architectures.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on QA automation using TypeScript and/or Java.
• Experience in developing test automation for Web applications with Playwright or Selenium.
• Experience in Agile projects with automation involvement.
• Experience in backend automation using Rest Assured.
• Strong knowledge of testing concepts, databases, OOPs, and core Java.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test suites for web and backend services.
• Design robust test cases and automate them using modern frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers and QA to integrate tests in CI pipelines.
• Contribute to test strategy, planning, and reporting.

Job role - Test Automation Engineer - Bangalore

8+ years of hands-on experience working on QA automation using Typescript and/or Java

• Experience in developing test automation for Web applications, preferably using Playwright, Selenium, BDD Cucumber
• Experience in developing test automation within Agile projects
• Experience in developing test automation for Backend applications, preferably using Rest Assured
• Good knowledge about testing concepts and understanding of database concepts, OOPs concepts, and strong core Java skills
• Strong working knowledge of various test types including client/server, white-box, black-box, positive/negative, and relational database testing
• Solid test design skills, test case writing, automation, and analysis
• Strong working knowledge of various test phases including functional, integration, and regression
• Ability to learn new things, understand architectural-level details, and demonstrate an innovative testing approach
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional approach
• Experience in setting up/using Continuous Integration (CI) tools
