Job summary

Acesoft Labs in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer (Automation & Manual QE) to strengthen our QA team in a hybrid setup. You will design and execute automated and manual test plans, implement Selenium/Playwright frameworks, and ensure data integrity with SQL.

Join a dynamic team to collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA analysts, delivering robust software with strong testing processes. REST service testing, Jira usage, and ETL testing are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of Automation testing.
• Excellent skills in SQL.
• Expert in developing and executing maintainable automation tests for functional and regression testing.
• Excellent skills in testing processes and methodologies.
• Very good problem solving and logical reasoning skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery of high-quality software.

Responsibilities

Senior Software Test Engineer (Automation & Manual QE Engineer)

MANDATORY:- Minimum of 4+ years of Automation testing.
Excellent skills in SQL

Key Skills

Automated Testing: Develop and maintain automated test script for web application. Strong expertise in any of the automation tools and framework of Selenium (on Java) , Java script-based automation like Playwrite
Manual Testing: Conduct manual testing of software applications, including test case design, execution, and defect tracking, to identify defects and ensure software quality.
Microservices Testing: Apply manual testing techniques to test microservices-based architectures, ensuring interoperability, performance, and reliability.
SQL Knowledge: Utilize basic SQL knowledge to validate data integrity and perform database testing as part of the testing process.
Test Scenario Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive test scenarios and acceptance criteria based on business requirements.
Test Execution: Execute automated test scripts and manual test cases, analyse test results, and identify defects to ensure software quality and reliability.
Defect Tracking: Document and track defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA) and collaborate with development teams to facilitate resolution.
Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to validate software changes and enhancements, ensuring backward compatibility and stability.
Exploratory Testing: Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects, usability issues, and edge cases.
Test Documentation: Prepare and maintain test plans, test matrices, and other testing documentation to support testing activities and compliance requirements.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance analysts, to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery of high-quality software.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvements and initiatives to enhance testing processes, methodologies, and tools.

Must have:

• Overall, 5+ years of experience in Manual Functional Testing
• Minimum of 4+ years of Automation testing.
• Excellent skills in SQL
• Expert in developing and executing maintainable automation tests for functional and regression testing.
• Excellent skills in testing processes and methodologies
• Very good problem solving and logical reasoning skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance analysts, to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery of high-quality software.
