Job summary

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to oversee instrument calibration, installation of control panels, and plant maintenance to ensure reliable operations.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, readiness for audits, and collaboration with engineering teams. You will plan preventive and predictive maintenance, manage spares and documentation, and support automation initiatives across the plant.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Graduation in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering or related field is mandatory.
• Minimum Work Experience: 3+ / 6+ years of experience.
• Skills & Attributes Functional Skills: Calibration, Computer System Validation, Instrumentation, Preventive Maintenance, PLCs, Spare Parts Management, Technical Documentation.

Responsibilities

• Recognize hazards during critical maintenance and coordinate safety requirements through permits, LOTO, and JSA reviews for 100% compliance.
• Handle maintenance, calibration, and installation of instruments and control panels ensuring accuracy and reliability of plant operations.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance, maintain housekeeping, and manage critical spare availability.
• Support automation systems to minimize downtime, implement control system backups, and identify new automation areas.
• Manage calibration activities per schedule, maintain records, identify discrepancies, ensure ISO, cGMP, and statutory compliance.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues, coordinate with engineering teams, issue new instruments to user departments for seamless operations.
• Initiate purchase requisitions, inspect received spares, supervise contractor work related to fabrication and insulation, execute annual maintenance plans.
• Identify process abnormalities, apply lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Autonomous Maintenance), coordinate small projects with plant leads.

• Exposure to developing and managing calibration schedules to ensure timely and compliant calibration of critical equipment is preferred.
• Experience in documenting calibration activities, including calibration certificates, deviation handling, and audit readiness, is desired.
• Experience in using Computerized Calibration Management Systems (CCMS) and digital calibration tools is desired.
