Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Recognize potential hazards during critical maintenance and coordinate safety requirements through work permits, LOTO procedures, and JSA reviews to ensure 100% compliance.
- Handle maintenance, calibration and installation of instruments and control panels, ensuring accuracy and reliability in plant operations.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive and shutdown maintenance activities, maintain good housekeeping and manage critical spare availability efficiently.
- Support automation systems to minimize downtime, implement control system backups and identify opportunities for new areas of automation.
- Manage calibration activities as per schedule, maintain accurate records, identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with ISO, cGMP and statutory requirements.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation issues, coordinate with engineering teams, and issue new instruments to user departments for seamless operations.
- Initiate purchase requisitions, inspect received spares and oversee contractor work related to fabrication and insulation while executing annual maintenance plans.
- Identify process abnormalities, implement lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen and Autonomous Maintenance, and coordinate small project modifications with plant leads.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification
Diploma/Graduation in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering or related field is mandatory.
Minimum Work Experience
3+ / 6+ years of experience.

- Experience in performing calibration of laboratory instruments, manufacturing equipment and utilities in compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards is desired. Experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Devices, Life Sciences industry is desired.
- Exposure to developing and managing calibration schedules to ensure timely and compliant calibration of critical equipment is preferred.
- Experience in documenting calibration activities, including calibration certificates, deviation handling and audit readiness is desired.
- Experience in using Computerized Calibration Management Systems (CCMS) and digital calibration tools is desired.
