Job summary

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. is seeking a Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer to oversee safe, efficient, and compliant operation and maintenance of electrical systems and utilities in the plant.

The role involves preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance, ensuring safety norms such as LOTO and JSA, and supporting automation to minimize downtime. The engineer will lead troubleshooting, perform RCA, and implement CAPA for equipment failures, with focus on cGMP/GMP compliance and

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Recognize hazards during critical maintenance activities and ensure safety protocols (LOTO, JSA).
  • Maintain facility per cGMP/GMP and Good Engineering practices.
  • Execute planned preventive maintenance of process equipment per SOP.
  • Prepare work authorization and plan timely execution.
  • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors for scheduling.
  • Control spares inventory and costs.
  • Maintain tablet/Liquid/Ointment Block, Warehouse & QC maintenance.
  • Follow process engineering instructions and ensure implementation.
  • Attend break-downs promptly to minimize quality/production impact.
  • Optimize energy/resource utilization.
  • Ensure continuous improvements and engineering excellence.
  • Follow good documentation practices.
  • Measure light intensity and air curtain velocity per SOP.
  • Document process equipment-related engineering data.
  • Delegate shift work to subordinates.
  • Identify process abnormalities and support lean practices like 5S, Kaizen, Autonomous Maintenance.

Job Description
Job Summary

This role is for a Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and compliant operation and maintenance of electrical systems and utilities within the plant. The position involves planning and executing preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to safety norms including LOTO and JSA, and supporting automation systems to minimize downtime. The engineer will lead troubleshooting efforts, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for equipment failures.

Roles & Responsibilities (Process Engineering):
  • You will be responsible for recognizing potential hazards during critical maintenance activities and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, including coordination of work permits and implementation of LOTO procedures.
  • To maintain the facility as per cGMP, and GMP requirements of country where product is being exported and strict adherence of Good Engineering practices during task execution.
  • Execute planned preventive maintenance of Process equipment’s as per SOP
  • Prepare work authorization to subordinates and do the planed work on time.
  • Coordinates with contractors and subcontractors for scheduling of work.
  • Spares Inventory control and Cost control
  • Overall responsibility for maintenance of tablet / Liquid, Ointment Block , Warehouse & QC.
  • To follow the instructions relating to Process Engineering operations and to ensure their strict implementation.
  • To attend the breakdown of machineries on time so as to have less impact on quality and production.
  • Optimum utilization of energy and resources.
  • Ensuring continuous improvements and engineering excellence.
  • To follow good documentation practices.
  • Perform and Measure Light Intensity , Air Curtain Velocity ,as per SOP
  • Responsible for documentation related to process equipment’s related to engineering.
  • Delegation of shift work to subordinates.
  • You will be responsible for identifying process abnormalities, implementing lean practices such as 5S, Kaizen, and Autonomous Maintenance, and supporting small project modifications in coordination with plant leads.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Minimum Work Experience

6+ years of experience.
