We are seeking an experienced Teradata Developer with strong expertise in SQL, BTEQ, and Teradata utilities (e.g., MLOAD, TPT). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining large-scale data warehouse solutions, ensuring high performance, data integrity, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain Teradata SQL queries, BTEQ scripts, and data processing workflows.
- Design, build, and maintain ETL processes for large-scale data warehouse environments.
- Utilize Teradata utilities such as BTEQ, MLOAD, and TPT for efficient data loading and processing.
- Write and maintain Shell scripts to automate operational and data‑related tasks.
- Develop and support Python scripts for data processing, transformation, and analytics.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues within Teradata databases.
- Perform query tuning and optimization to improve system efficiency and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Business, QA, DevOps) to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data pipelines.
- Document technical designs, workflows, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in Teradata, SQL, and cloud data platforms.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Teradata development.
- Strong expertise in Teradata SQL and BTEQ scripting.
- Experience with Teradata utilities (e.g., MLOAD, TPT).
- Proficiency in Shell scripting for automation.
- Solid programming skills in Python for data processing.
- Experience in data warehouse design and development.
- Strong knowledge of query performance tuning and troubleshooting.
