Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Teradata database objects such as tables and views.
• Develop complex SQL queries and data extraction processes.

• Perform data validation and data quality checks.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Teradata Developer to design, develop, optimize, and support enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in SQL development, data modeling, ETL processes, performance tuning, and large-scale data warehousing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Teradata database objects including tables, views, macros, stored procedures, and scripts.
• Develop complex SQL queries, joins, transformations, and data extraction processes.
• Build and support ETL/ELT workflows for loading data into the Teradata Data Warehouse.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Perform data validation, data quality checks, and reconciliation activities.
• Optimize Teradata queries and database performance through indexing, partitioning, and workload management.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Business Analysts, ETL Developers, and other stakeholders.
• Support data migration, upgrades, and enhancement initiatives.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to data governance and security standards.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Teradata Database development.
• Expertise in Teradata SQL, stored procedures, macros, and utilities.
• Experience with Data Warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and database design.

• Good understanding of Unix/Linux scripting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, Talend, or Ab Initio.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of Python or Shell scripting for data processing.
