Job summary

GK Energy Limited is seeking a strategic Tenders & Bidding Manager to lead our tender lifecycle for utility-scale, rooftop, and PM-KUSUM solar projects. You will manage RFP analysis, technical/commercial compilation, and bid submission across government and private platforms.

The role requires 3–8 years in tender management within Solar EPC or related sectors, with strong analytical and drafting abilities and a detail-oriented mindset to win high-stakes bids on tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3 to 8 years of core experience in tender management, bid engineering, or contract bidding within Solar EPC, Renewable Energy, Power, or Infrastructure.
• Proven hands-on expertise handling government tenders, PSU bidding frameworks, state nodal agency requirements, and GeM portal operations.
• Exceptional analytical skills, financial acumen, and technical drafting capabilities.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple high-stakes bids under strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Tender Identification & Eligibility Analysis: Track government portals and private platforms for tenders; assess qualification criteria and deadlines.
• Bid Preparation & Cross-Functional Coordination: Compile technical proposals, BOMs, deviation sheets with Design, Procurement, Finance and Legal teams.
• Commercial Pricing & Cost Estimation: Analyze project costs, margins, logistics, taxes, overheads; arrange EMD, PBG, tender fees.
• Vendor Sourcing & Contract Alignment: Coordinate with suppliers for back-to-back pricing and review clauses with legal teams.
• Post-Bidding, Negotiations & MIS Tracking: Handle clarifications, reverse auctions, negotiations; maintain win/loss MIS dashboards.

POSITION SUMMARY

GK Energy Limited is looking for a strategic, detail-oriented, and result-driven Tenders & Bidding Manager to lead our tender management lifecycle. In this leadership role, you will oversee end-to-end government and private bidding processes for our utility-scale, rooftop, and PM-KUSUM solar projects ranging from RFP analysis and technical/commercial compilation to final bid submission and reverse auctions.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Tender Identification & Eligibility Analysis:

• - Actively track government portals (GeM, state/central nodal agencies, MEDA, SECI, NTPC) and private sector platforms for solar EPC, rooftop, and solar water pump tenders.
• - Evaluate tender qualification criteria, technical specifications, commercial terms, and deadlines to assess win probability.

2. Bid Preparation & Cross-Functional Coordination:

• - Drive end-to-end bid compilation by collaborating with Technical Design, Procurement (Supply Chain), Finance, and Legal departments.
• - Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, compliance statements, Bill of Materials (BOM), and deviation sheets tailored to GK Energy's standards.

3. Commercial Pricing & Cost Estimation:

• - Work closely with finance and estimation teams to analyze project costs, profit margins, freight logistics, taxes, and overheads for competitive bidding.
• - Oversee the arrangement of financial instruments, including Earnest Money Deposits (EMD), Performance Bank Guarantees (PBG), and tender fees.

4. Vendor Sourcing & Contract Alignment:

• - Coordinate with tier-1 equipment suppliers (PV Modules, Inverters, Structures, Pumps) to secure competitive back-to-back pricing and compliance guarantees.
• - Partner with internal legal teams to review tender clauses, risk indemnities, and execution terms.

5. Post-Bidding, Negotiations & MIS Tracking:

• - Manage post-bid clarifications, reverse auctions, and technical/commercial negotiations with state bodies and corporate clients.
• - Maintain a structured MIS dashboard tracking win-loss ratios, submission pipelines, and upcoming tender calendars for the management team.
