Qualifications

Role Description

The Estimation & Proposal Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat. This position is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for electrical infrastructure projects, analyzing tender documents, and developing technical and commercial proposals in line with client requirements and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating with engineering and procurement teams for accurate pricing, and ensuring timely submission of proposals. The role also involves supporting sales activities by clarifying technical queries, participating in negotiations when required, and maintaining proposal documentation and databases for future reference.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Proposal Preparation and Proposal Writing skills, including the ability to interpret tender documents and develop clear, precise technical and commercial offers.
• Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering knowledge, with experience in power distribution, industrial electrical systems, and relevant standards and codes.
• Candidates should possess Sales-related skills, such as understanding client requirements, supporting business development, and contributing to pricing strategies.
• Candidates should possess Procurement-related skills, including coordinating with vendors, obtaining quotations, and optimizing material and equipment costs.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience in estimation, proposals, or project engineering within the electrical or infrastructure sector is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with estimation tools or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are essential.
