Job summary

BETSOL is hiring remote Telephony Engineers to support a large-scale Avaya environment upgrade and datacenter migration for an enterprise client. You will research, audit, clean up, and cut over existing Avaya configurations as the environment moves from ESXi 7 to ESXi 8 and prepares for migration to modern CoLo datacenter facilities.

This is a fully remote role; offshore candidates are welcome, with a workday that overlaps the U.S. until at least noon Eastern on U.S. business days.

Qualifications

• Experience with Avaya Aura CM 10.2 administration (dial plan, route patterns, trunk groups).
• VDN and vector programming for call routing.
• Hunt group and skill-splits configuration and cleanup.
• Station/endpoint administration, including bulk moves/adds/changes.
• Announcements administration.
• G450 Media Gateway configuration (network regions, IP codec sets, DSP resources).
• S8300 Server and LSP/ESS administration.
• Avaya Site Administration (ASA) / SAT CLI, including bulk translation tools.
• Translation backup/restore and CM version migration experience.
• CDR interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Research, audit, and clean up existing Avaya configurations, and cut them over to new and upgraded systems
• Administer Avaya Aura Communication Manager (dial plans, route patterns, trunk groups)
• Program and maintain VDNs and vectors (call routing logic)
• Configure and clean up hunt groups / skill-splits and administer stations/endpoints, including bulk moves/adds/changes
• Perform translation backup/restore and Communication Manager version migrations
• Support broader voice engineering work as needed

• Hunt Group / Skill-Split configuration and cleanup
• Station/endpoint administration, including bulk moves/adds/changes
• Announcements administration
• G450 Media Gateway logical configuration (network regions, IP codec sets, DSP resource allocation)
• S8300 Server and LSP (Local Survivable Processor) / ESS (Enterprise Survivable Server) administration
• Avaya Site Administration (ASA) / SAT command-line proficiency, including bulk translation tools
• Translation backup/restore and CM version migration experience
• CDR (Call Detail Recording) interpretation

Preferred / Additional (Messaging Specialization)

• Administration expertise in Avaya Messaging (Avaya IX Messaging)
• Experience migrating Avaya Aura Messaging (Modular Messaging) to Avaya Messaging — mailboxes, users, and integration with Avaya CM
