Job summary

DEC Industries in Hyderabad seeks a skilled engineer to model PEB structures in Tekla Structures and produce precise fabrication drawings for factory and site use. You will ensure clashes are resolved and BOMs are accurately compiled, while addressing RFIs and updating models as changes arise.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Tekla, strong attention to detail, and the ability to iterate models quickly to meet client requirements.

Responsibilities

• 3D Modeling: Build accurate 3D models of PEB structures (columns, rafters, beams, purlins, girts) using Tekla Structures.
• Fabrication Blueprints: Generate shop assembly drawings, single-part drawings, and erection layouts for factory floor and site teams.
• Clash Checking: Run automatic tests in the model to find and fix overlapping parts or structural errors before production.
• Material Lists (BOM): Pull exact lists of steel materials, weights, bolts, and cutting logs (NC files) directly from the Tekla model.
• Problem Solving (RFIs): Review the engineer's designs, catch missing details, and raise technical queries to fix gaps.
• Revision Controls: Update the 3D model quickly whenever the client or design engineer requests changes.
