Job summary

Ernst & Young (EY) invites an experienced SAP Team Manager to join the EY GDS TechOps group, delivering SAP Application Management across regions. You will lead a cross‑functional team, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with clients to optimize SAP solutions and service delivery.

You will oversee incident management, changes, and complex problem resolution, coordinating with onshore/offshore teams and stakeholders to align with business requirements and ITIL/ITSM practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years industry experience and 5-8 years SAP EPPM.
• Familiar with PPM, EPPM, CPM, PS; industry experience in Automotive, Hi-Tech, IM&C, A&D.
• S/4HANA project experience preferred.
• Knowledge on PS-CATS/SRM/PPM integration and related SAP modules, BI/BPC integration.
• ITIL/ITSM understanding and lifecycle in application management.
• Ability to manage cross-functional and technical teams; drive discussions with stakeholders.
• Proven track record delivering solutions in a complex, multi-platform environment.
• Experience in client management across regions in a global setting.
• Experience growing and delivering application management teams.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day Application Management support for SAP Applications across IT Service Management including service requests, incident management, enhancements, change and problem management as Level 2/3.
• Lead and mentor the cross-functional team fostering collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Lead and coordinate resolution of complex technical issues and system outages including root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and advise on SAP solutions and designs.
• Develop and maintain documentation including configuration, user guides and test scripts.
• Mentor and train junior SAP functional and technical team members with best practices.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and SAP best practices.

SAP PP/QM Manager TechOps (Application Management) Consultant

The Opportunity We are looking for an SAP Team Manager to join the EY GDS Team. As part of our EY GDS TechOps team, you will be responsible for providing functional support for SAP across various regions for our global clients. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams to address issues, implement enhancements, and optimize design to meet business requirements.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Minimum of 5+ years industry experience and a minimum of 5-8 Years of experience in SAP EPPM.
• Familiar and skilled with: PPM, EPPM, CPM, PS Experience with Discrete industry (Automotive, Hi-Tech, IM&C, A&D), among others business processes and various related industry experience
• S/4HANA project experience is preferred.
• Good to have knowledge on PS-CATS integration, PS-SRM integration, PS-PPM integration, PS-Project, PS-PM integration, PS-SD and PS-FICO integration, SAP and BI and BPC integration Deep understanding of ITIL and ITSM processes and methodology and how it interacts with the application lifecycle management principles
• Ability to manage cross functional and technical team, give them directions and drive functional and technical discussions with various stake holders

• Depth of experience in setting up, growing, transforming, and delivering application management teams

• Responsible for providing support within the SAP domain expert module for incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Support incident solving by analyzing incidents raised by users and provides solutions.
• Working closely with customers and teams to ensure issues and requests are followed-up and addressed timely.
• Handle change requests with a clear understanding of new business requirements.
• Understand business needs and deliver solutions to make processes more efficient and simpler whenever possible.
• Cross-functional communication skills; experience in offshore/onshore model.
• Ability to work with minimal guidance or supervision in a time critical environment.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross functional team environment.
• Flexibility in managing work hours due to the volatile nature of Application Management work including ability to do shifts and being on call for critical business requirements

Ideally, youll also have:

• Experience with both S/4HANA and ECC
• Strong knowledge of SAP integration points with other SAP cross modules like PP /QM / MM/ SD/ HCM
• SAP Certification in any functional domain
• Experience in good Team management skills, People skills, communication, soft skills etc
• Expertise in working with Onshore teams with good co-ordination and collaboration

What you will do:
