Job summary

PTC Inc in Bengaluru, India, seeks a hands-on Cloud Architect to define and evolve cloud architecture, deploy automation, and collaborate with cybersecurity for secure, compliant cloud solutions. You will drive optimization for reliability, scalability, and efficiency in production environments.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience with AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes, plus strong Linux skills and networking knowledge. On-site role located in Bengaluru, India.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience supporting cloud-based production environments.
• Experience building or applying AI agents to improve DevOps, CloudOps, automation, or operations.
• Strong experience designing, building, and operating systems in AWS cloud environments.
• 2+ years developing cloud automation with Terraform and Ansible.
• 2+ years production experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS ECS.
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
• Understanding TCP/IP, HTTP, networking and cloud connectivity.
• Experience with high-availability and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools like New Relic, AppDynamics, Datadog.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and evolve cloud architecture including design, deployment, security, and operations.
• Implement IaC automation using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation for production deployments.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to design secure cloud architectures meeting compliance.
• Define cloud optimization practices for reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Lead assessments and decisions on technology choices, architecture, and implementation strategy.
• participate in on-call rotation with development and operations teams.

What You Will Do:

• Contribute to defining, developing, and continuously evolving cloud architecture, including design, deployment, security, and operations.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code automation using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation to support production application deployments.
• Partner with Cybersecurity teams to design and implement secure cloud architectures that meet industry compliance requirements.
• Define, promote, and apply cloud optimization best practices to improve reliability, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Lead impact assessments and support decision-making related to technology choices, architectural design, and implementation strategy.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation, working collaboratively with development and operations teams to support production systems.

What You Bring to PTC:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience supporting cloud‑based production environments.
• Working knowledge of building or applying AI agents to improve DevOps, CloudOps, automation, or operational efficiency.
• Strong experience designing, building, and operating systems in AWS cloud environments.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience developing cloud automation using Terraform and Ansible.
• 2+ years of production experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS ECS.
• Strong experience working with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, networking fundamentals, and cloud connectivity concepts.
• Experience designing or supporting high‑availability and fault‑tolerant architectures.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, and Datadog.
• Well‑developed analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
• A strong sense of ownership, urgency, accountability, and drive.

Nice to have qualifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate.
